Hello lovely supporters :)
Thank you all so much for your generosity both financially and spiritually in support of Alice's Treehouse. We are thrilled to have reached our target to make a start on this project. We will be doing more fundraising soon as, although many people have offered their services free of charge, there are certain things which do need to be bought, such as materials and some professional services. This will be very much a community project though, and if you know of anyone who is able to help, please let me know.
We are going to make improvements in stages and following talks with the management at Black Park, we are initially focussing on:
STEPS - These have sadly failed due to a deterioration of the wood. They need repairing or replacing.
SHELTER - The lovely Rangers at Black Park have had and ongoing battle with the wood shingles being continually vandalised. We are in talks with Rustic Creations to see what can be done, maybe in the first instance by removing the shingles (and possibly painting rainbow colours on the arches!) and either leaving the sides open or building straight sides which would be more robust.
I am getting a plan together and will let you know when we have more information.
Much love
Sara xxx
